Tenebrae

Join us on Holy Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. in the Cathedral for Tenebrae. Tenebrae, Latin for ‘darkness’, is an ancient prayer of the Church offered in the darkness of early morning. The meaning of the ceremony helps us understand that the glory of the Son of God was obscured and, so to say, eclipsed, by the ignominies He endured during His Passion.
