Volunteers Needed for Vacation Bible School

As we have done in years past, we are hoping to once again have a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the Parish children which would be held July 8-12 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon at the Becker Center. THEME: "Leading Out Loud - Leading others through biblical examples."To accomplish this, we will need volunteers to help us with Bible Classes & various Bible centered games and crafts. Eucharistic Prayer Lecture Series

Announcing a four-part lecture series on the Eucharistic Prayers. This series will focus on the four primary Eucharistic Prayers used at Mass. The talks will be fairly reflective and lead the audience into some reflection on the meaning of various parts of the prayers. We will also discuss their history, translation, and Scripture passages relevant to the content of the prayers. Please bring your Bible, something with which to take notes, and a snack to share. The series will meet at the PLC downstairs at 6 p.m. on June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th.

Hour of Reparation

Just a reminder to join us on the First Saturday of each month at the Fatima Grotto at 1:00 p.m. on the east lawn for an hour of prayers said in reparation for the many grave offenses committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Pray a Rosary and several other prayers as a group. Join us!

St. Eugene’s School

Please come and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with students and faculty on Friday, May 3rd, from 4-8 p.m. at the school. This event was a huge success last year and lots of fun for those in attendance. This is the final, very important fundraising event for the school this year. Support our school while enjoying an evening of great food, music, dance, and choir performances from our St. Eugene’s students!

Tickets can be purchased at the school office, the parish office, as well as at the door on the day of the celebration.

Save the date: On Saturday, June 1, 2024, His Excellency, Bishop Robert Vasa, will ordain Rev. Mr. Mauricio Rodriguez and Rev. Mr. Christopher Girolo to the Holy Priesthood here at the Cathedral of St. Eugene. The ordination will be followed by a reception in the Msgr. Becker Center.
