Generations of Faith

The Generations of Faith program is an intergenerational faith process for the entire parish.  childrenThis process equips the parish to become a community of learners by creating lifelong faith formation that is centered in the events of Church life; embraces all ages and generations; promotes fellowship; promotes faith growth at home through parish preparation programs and, most importantly, through participation in Church life.  The curriculum is based on the teachings from the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Sacramental Preparatory Program

The Sacramental Preparatory Program is a one-year process for all first graders in preparation for reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in second grade.

First Communion

Preparation for reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist (First Communion) is available to all second graders and to those students in grades 3 – 6 who have not yet received these sacraments.  

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The RCIA process is for adults interested in learning about and making the Catholic faith their own.  This process is also for any baptized but uncatechized Catholics or adult Catholics wishing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.meeting

 

 

Liturgy of the Word for Children

Liturgy of the Word for Children affords children an opportunity to hear and learn about the Sunday readings appropriate to their level of understanding.  This opportunity is offered during the 9:00 a.m. Mass for children in grades K – 6.  Children leave the cathedral after the opening prayer and return to their families after the homily.
