Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council was formed for the purpose of pastoral planning, effective communication with parishioners and discernment of vision for the parish and Diocese. The Council is comprised of members-at-large from the parish, staff members appointed by the Pastor and members of the clergy staff. The Council meets quarterly during the calendar year.
The focus of the Pastoral Council in 2011 is:
St. Eugene's - Sharing Faith, Fostering Community
For the past three years we have focused on acquainting people with the person of Christ (Evangelization), participating in his ministry (Stewardship), and doing so as a family (Community). Now we wish to continue to reach out to one another, but on a deeper level. Our efforts will be put into Longing for the Holy, a process in which we can pray together, reflect on Scripture, share our faith experiences, and relate them to our everyday lives. We will do this in small groups within the parish during the weeks of Lent and Advent.
